Up the Boro
An exhibition of football-inspired work from mima’s collection.
2 March - 8 July 2012.
This is a documentary that Matty Brown has put together. It is based on the story of how Middlesbrough Football Club survived from the skin of their teeth in 1986 as they were on the brink of existence following liquidation. The club went on to achieve success in reaching cup finals in the 90s and then finally winning the Carling Cup in 2004 and reaching the UEFA Cup final in 2006. The documentary features an in-depth interview with Boro fan and radio commentator Alistair Brownlee.
